Who needs a Referral?
TRICARE Prime, TRICARE Prime Remote and TRICARE Young Adult Prime beneficiaries must have a referral from their PCM before seeking most, but not all specialty care from providers other than their PCM.
Beneficiaries in TRICARE Prime plans who seek specialty care without a referral (when required) are subject to Point of Service charges.
Who is eligible to see a SkyTherapist provider through TRICARE?
TRICARE insurance plans include coverage for with SkyTherapist for Active Duty Service Members, National Guard, and Reserve members, retirees, family members, and survivors are generally eligible for TRICARE-covered services.
Service offerings include a range of online therapy options. You can engage in examinations and follow-up sessions with our licensed mental health clinicians, all while benefiting from the affordability of your TRICARE insurance plan.

What telehealth services are available?
Most Behavioral Health services and some primary care services. Please see provider profiles with their specialties.
Are there any co-pays or fees for telehealth appointments?
Yes, once we verify your insurance we will let you know how much your co-pay is.
Will my SkyTherapist provider prescribe medication?
TRICARE typically covers prescribed medication when it is medically necessary to treat a diagnosed mental health condition. When using our services, your sessions with a SkyTherapist provider and prescribed treatment plan are covered.
However, medication fulfillment and associated costs may vary based on your local pharmacy.
Please note that over-the-counter medications are not included in this coverage.
Do my benefits cover couples and family therapy?
Yes, TRICARE mental health benefits cover various therapy approaches with SkyTherapist, including family and couples therapy.
How soon can I be scheduled with a provider?
You can view a providers availability and schedule with a SkyTherapist provider once you have registered your account and your insurance has been verified.
